Prior to entering entrepreneurship, Adam worked for Kansas City's own Standard Style and Baldwin for several years.

To get to know Adam a little better, we asked him a few questions.

What's your favorite coffee shop (and drink)?

It probably sounds expected, but I do really love the Made in KC Cafe. I spend a lot of time there and I find myself wanting to go there, even when I don't have a meeting and just want a good cafe experience. On the weekends I love to get their cereal milk steamers. I am caffeine free, so I don't get to have a ton of fun at coffee shops, but the cereal milk thing is a fun way for me to change it up. Otherwise, I love their Chai. I think it's the best in town.

If you could live in any Kansas City neighborhood, which one would you choose?

More and more I think that Crossroads would be a great place to live for me. I love the type of home you get there and the creative energy of the residents and visitors. Every time I meet with people in Crossroads I feel strongly connected to the city and inspired to produce good work.

You have a Sunday to yourself. Where do you spend it?

I always kick off my Sundays with a run to Trader Joe's. I have to get in before they get busy! Then I would start the day in earnest with brunch at Succotash. It's one of the few brunch places that I keep going back to, and for good reason. They also do great gluten-free stuff which is great for my girlfriend. I'd probably spend a while at Mill's Records in Westport and inevitably spend more money than I should. And then since I'm close, I'd have a cocktail at Port Fonda. If I'm honest, a nap is definitely the next thing on my agenda. From there I would be cooking dinner and prepping my lunches at home.

If you could take one Kansas City restaurant/bakery/cafe with you to a deserted island, which one would you choose?

Do Restaurant/Bars count? If so, it's hands down, Ca Va. I have a love affair with that place and I've spent some of the best nights of my life in their company. The food is unbelievable. The wine is interesting. It's my favorite bar in the world.
