Alex Esposito

Alex is from KC but lived in New York for a few years. Now she's back and rediscovering this city bit by bit. She has a husband and a dog, loves Broadway musicals and art museums, and enjoys drinking beer, eating cheese and ignoring her lactose intolerance. Sure she's a writer, but her true talent is gift giving. Seriously, you want her to have you for Secret Santa.

To get to know Alex a little better, we asked her a few questions.

What's your favorite coffee shop (and drink)?

Just so I don't have to admit it's Starbucks (don't @ me) I'm going to pretend this question says what's your favorite margarita spot. The answer is Mean Mule. I saw Mayor Quinton Lucas there once, then saw him at Rieger the next day. Man loves his cocktails. TBH, same.

If you could live in any Kansas City neighborhood, which one would you choose?

I recently moved to Roeland Park and I'm obsessed. I think it's the closest you can get to living in Stars Hallow without leaving KC. But if we ever make the crossover to Missouri I'd love to live in Brookside.

You have a Sunday to yourself. How do you spend it?

Breakfast at Town Topic on Johnson Drive (ham, eggs, hash browns, and toast) followed by a nap. Then Yoga in the Park on the Nelson lawn. I'd visit a local brewery or two or three (faves include Brewery Emperial and Stockyards.) And probably round things out at Boulevard for some more beer, grab a pizza from D'Bronx on the way home and crash on the couch with my dog, Podrick. Wait, can it be Sunday right now?
