Boulevard Jam Band Cocktail

I would be lying if I said I only had one favorite part of working at a brewery, but high up among the list is getting to experience our BLVD Tours & Rec. events team and the different parties they host. Recently, T&R held an event called, ‘BLVD Mash Maker,’ which allowed folks to come down to our tasting room & enjoy a beer cocktail made with Boulevard Brewing Company's latest brew: Jam Band. Accompanying a simple malt base, blueberry, raspberry and tart cherry play in perfect harmony to create a slightly tart ale that sings with ripe, bursting fruit flavor. Aromas of dark berries, citrus and melon open the show, bridging to zippy fruit flavors that meld into an easy-drinking summer beer worthy of an encore. It's no wonder that Jam Band makes the for the perfect base for a cocktail.

The drink set the scene for a perfect night enjoying beer-based dating games, and one heck of a playlist– everything from Meat Loaf, Usher and Whitney Houston… and yes, this does exist on Spotify.

This cocktail was so dang good I ended up buying the ingredients to make my own that same night, and with the gracious creators’ blessing, I get to share it with all of you! Per Ali Bush, Tim Scott, Chris Dolt and Pat Mullins, here is "The Councilman Jam":
