Crossroad Hangs & Patio Gangs

The Crossroads quickly became one of my favorite summer destinations with friends, and I can’t wait to share a few of my favorite patios to enjoy as we head into fall! (Quite frankly, there’s nothing like a good outdoor spot, regardless of what season).

The Rieger

First on the list is The Rieger! This is hands down one of my favorite buildings in KC, and has so much history intact, including original tile floors from when it was The Rieger Hotel. Their Happy Hour menu does not disappoint! Cocktails ranging from $5-$8, Boulevard bottles for $3, and a small menu of delicious food that have the option of pairing a Schlitz for $2, to name a few. The service has always been wonderful, and whether you choose to get comfortable outside on the quaint patio & take in the hustle and bustle of Main street or cozy up inside at the bar, there truly isn’t a bad seat in the house. Happy Hour for The Rieger is Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Brewery Emperial
1829 Oak St, Kansas City, Missouri 64108

Second on the list is Brewery Emperial! I probably shouldn’t admit to how many times I’ve ordered their biscuit beer with the Emperial Burger or Tiki Turkey this summer, but I will tell you that I have not a single regret about it. Their beer menu continues to grow, with options like Wheat Wine & Berliner Weisse (SO dang good with their house made strawberry syrup!) And if you’ve ever had Brewery Emperial’s fries, you know that alone is worth the trip! With indoor seating surrounded by amazing decor full of character and charm, and a massive outdoor patio space, this spot will easily transition into a fall favorite.

Torn Label
1708 Campbell St, Kansas City, Missouri 64108

Finally, just down the street, is a little spot that never disappoints! Torn Label is one of those spaces that will always be near and dear to my heart. Their tap room may be small in size, but some of my favorite summer memories have been held there. The patio is perfect for meeting up with a group of friends, but still cozy enough to bring a book and escape for a bit. Between full pours, flights, and the ability to buy your favorite beer to-go, Torn Label has mastered a place that feels inviting no matter if you’re there for 5 minutes or 5 hours.
