I heard there’s great debates all the time about which is the best barbershop in Kansas City. While I’m not here to definitively answer that question, my go to has been Hudson Hawk since 2018. Kansas Citians can enjoy locations in Westport, Corinth Mall, and Town Center Plaza.

With the disappearance of the traditional barbershop across the country throughout the 90s and 00s and the rise of men going to salons or national chains for their haircut needs, co-founders Paul Catlett and Thad Forrester joined forces with the intent to revitalize the classic barbershop with a modern spin appealing to a more masculine audience. Hudson Hawk seamlessly blends together high-end salon quality haircuts and the feel of an old school hometown barbershop. This helps remove the air of pretentiousness many higher end tonsoriums have while still ensuring that level of quality.
Each barber at Hudson Hawk is very knowledgeable in the art of barbering, is amiable, and has a great sense of humor. You will be in good hands with any barber there, but make sure to build a relationship with one. Fewer things keep us afloat as a society more than the sanctity of the relationship of man and his barber.
