To get to know Bennett a little better, we asked him a few questions.
If you could create your dream meal in KC, where would you get your appetizer, entrée and dessert from?
As a self-proclaimed foodie, this is the type of question I like to answer. It is inevitably a long list, but here we go. For starters, I would get the Ragazza “roasted goat cheese.” The crunchy, thinly sliced crostini comes with their special red sauce and melted goat cheese seasoned with oregano. For my entrée, I would order the “Saumon Printanier” from Café Provence, truly a go to comfort food. Lastly, I have to complete the meal with a dessert from Café Europa, the lemon cake to be exact.
What would you do on a staycation in KC?
In my opinion, Kansas City is one of the best places for a staycation because it has so much to offer. My staycation goes as follows… First, I would wake up at the Crossroads Hotel. Then I would hop on the KC Streetcar and grab a matcha from the Made in KC café in the River Market. Following my matcha, I would take a stroll through the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, particularly the new photography exhibit in the Bloch wing. After that I would meet my friends for a late brunch at Succotash. Hoping that the day would be sunny I would try to catch a game at Kauffman stadium or an evening concert at Grinders. For dinner, I would go to Fox and Pearl. As you can see, food is a top priority.
What's one KC classic product you can't live without?
This has to be a tie between my BLDWN KC hat or my Kitschup Creations ``There's no place like Mahomes' prayer candle.”
