Valentine's Rosé Roundup
Whether you're head over heels or single and ready to mingle, Valentine's Day is the perfect opportunity to sip on every wino's favorite: rosé. Check out these five local spots this Valentine's Day for a great place to take a date or celebrate with friends:
Stock Hill's show stopping bar is the perfect place to sip on some rosé and take in one of the city's most stunning restaurant interiors. Stick around for the bar snacks, too– they're seriously next level. The smoked confit chicken wings come with an Alabama white bbq sauce and giardinera, a perfect pairing with a glass of pink bubbles.
Andre’s Confiserie Suisse is offering a rosé wine flight throughout the month of February, paired, of course, with their mouthwatering chocolates. The flight includes three fine European rosés with chocolate pairings, along with tasting notes.
Amigoni Winery is a local winery favorite– their $7 tastings are an awesome deal, and a great way to get to know their selection. Plus, you can add on $1 extra to taste any additional wine off their list and become a true connoisseur. Stick around for a glass or two of rosé (available all year round)– theirs is by far the best local option in town.
Ça Va is a date night dream, and their rosé options are even dreamier. They’ll have a few sparking rosé options this week, but owner Caitlin Corcoran says to especially keep an eye out for the Messemer Spatburgner Sekt Rosé, a Pinot Noir from Germany. Aged on lees for three years, it has lovely brioche, bread notes to it, and is fruit-forward but not to sweet.
Last but certainly not least, Tannin is Kansas City’s own wine heaven– with a massive list, perfectly dim lighting and plenty of seating, it’s a great spot for a Galentine’s get together. There are always tons of wine flight options to choose from, so prepare to get cozy and stay all night.
