What's New in Downtown Parkville

This cute little town along the banks of the Missouri River just keeps getting better and better.

The newest addition to their Main Street is Incahoots, where you can get coffee, doughnuts, and booze– all in one unique place. They opened in June in a former rail station, with seating in two old train cars that beckon you to stop and stay awhile. They also have a huge deck out front for additional seating on nice days. They hand make their doughnuts daily, including several varieties of cake doughnuts (think red velvet, apple crisp and blueberry lemon), as well as old-fashioneds. The salted caramel old-fashioned with chocolate drizzle is especially good, as is the apple crisp cake doughnut. But really, they are all tasty.

To wet your whistle, they offer a variety of coffee drinks, like drip coffee, hot tea, cappuccinos and lattes. If you need something a little stronger, you can also choose from a selection of bottled beers.

Another awesome addition to Main Street is The Baker’s Table. Owned by a mother/daughter duo, this place has some delicious baked goods. One of their signature items is a German chocolate brownie, which is big enough for two. Another tempting choice is their bread pudding made from cinnamon roll dough, topped with whiskey sauce. And The Baker’s Table is one of the few places to feature hummingbird cake, a classic Southern dessert. But what they really specialize in is pie, and they have an impressive selection of them on their daily menu. Stop in and check out their entire menu next time you have a sweet tooth or when you need a dessert for a special occasion. They also take special orders with a 24 hour notice.

White Farmhouse (1).jpg

White Farmhouse Flowers began as a mobile flower business in 2020, operating out of an old 1961 Volkswagen Transporter van converted into a flower truck, affectionately called Betty. They have been so successful that they now have a storefront right on Main Street as well. You can order flowers from them for delivery anywhere in the Northland, and your flowers will be delivered courtesy of Betty. Or you can go into their beautiful store and pick out an arrangement for yourself or a loved one. All of their flowers are grown in season and handpicked at their farmhouse, and they offer various flower subscriptions, from every week to once a month. In store, they also have gifts, home decor, wall art, clothes, bath and body products, SCOUT bags, and tea towels. And don’t miss the chocolate truffle case filled with delectable goodies!

Mudville.jpg

Located just off Main Street in an old red brick building is Mudville Public House, a new fast casual baseball-themed eatery that opened in August. They serve smash burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, fries, and other ballpark-style fare, as well as shakes, floats, malts, and ice cream cones. Their smash burgers are one of their specialties and feature their “secret spread” made of relish, ketchup, mustard, and mayo. They are also known for their milkshakes, which come in chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and caramel, with more flavors to come. In addition to the eatery, Mudville has a huge event space with turf floors that can be rented out for $90/hour. It’s perfect for birthday parties, batting practice, and other kid-friendly or sports-themed events. Future plans include opening a baseball card shop next to the eatery, complete with a bar and TVs.
