Drinking Coffee in Kansas City: Entity Coffee
We’ve revived the series that helped launch Explore–
we take our coffee seriously, over here!
If you blink, you might miss it. But Overland Park just became home to a quaint new coffee spot inside Entity Lounge. This 4.6 star, bite-sized bar serves handcrafted cocktails, wine, and a handful of beer options in a gorgeous space, open all week from 4pm to midnight. Happy hour is from 4pm-6pm.
Luckily, Entity Lounge is now open every day from 6am to 2:30pm as the appropriately named Entity Café, serving up coffee and relaxing vibes. Their beautiful coffee menu includes tasty cold brew, their Entity house coffee, and staples like lattes, macchiatos, and americanos.
The extensive menu also covers specialty espresso beverages, cleverly titled “De Leche Latte” (espresso, caramel, dulce de leche, milk), “Choco-Lita” (espresso, mexican chocolate, milk), and “Honey I’m Home” (espresso, honey syrup, lavender, milk).
If you aren’t a coffee person, feel free to order a smoothie, chai, or one of Entity’s signature beverages, like the “Dragon Fizz” (dragonfruit, berry mix, lemonade), “Green Horchata” (horchata, matcha, milk), and “Entity Lemonade” (classic, strawberry, hibiscus).
While the world maybe hasn’t quite discovered this lounge-turned-coffee-bar yet, I absolutely anticipate it becoming a hotspot for caffeine-crazed Kansans and Missourians. The dark paint and slick floors make for a chic backdrop to the gold touches and sleek alcohol display. The texture in the bar gives it a pop of personality, while the lighting that runs above it all presents as a work of art itself.
The space is so cozy that grabbing a coveted table will make you the envy of the morning crowd. Besides the beautiful tables, and countertops, the staff is kind and helpful, and the music is relaxing. However long you stay, you are sure to have a wonderful experience.
**Entity is located on Switzer Road off of College Blvd., so be sure to plan around construction if you are looking to try it.
