To get to know Josh a little better, we asked him a few questions.
What do you love most about KC?
The culture; we're a really underrated food city, everyone is super welcoming, and we take pride in what we do here.
If you could create your dream meal in KC, where would you get your appetizer, entrée and dessert from?
I'd start off at Al's in Parkville for buffalo wings, having family from Buffalo. I'm a bit of a wing snob and nowhere else in the area knows how to do them right. For my entree I'd get the classic BRGR from BRGR being the burger connoisseur I am that's my go to meal. For dessert I'd go with a cannoli from Carollos, their cannolis are the most similar to how my family makes them but I think they do them even better (sorry mom).
Where is your favorite place to shop in KC?
I do most of my clothes shopping online. However, I really enjoy shopping at our Record Stores, Josey, Records with Merritt, and Mills are my go tos.
What's your favorite thing about Kansas Citians?
How passionate they are about their favorite barbecue joint. Most of them are wrong but I appreciate the passion.
Where would you tell a visiting friend or relative to go in KC?
LC's for burnt ends, Oddly for Coffee, City Market, Westport for a night out, and Case Park for it's very underrated view.
What would you miss most about our city if you ever moved?
The free parking and how easy it is to get around on foot. I travel a lot and my main gripe with most other cities are those two things. Exploring a city on foot is just a more enjoyable experience and that definitely factors into my love of KC
