Steps of Style's Guide to Briarcliff

Recently I had the pleasure of spending a gorgeous sunny day just north of the River... at a little place called Briarcliff Village. For those of you not familiar with this quaint little hot spot, it has everything you need for a day filled with fun, food and relaxation.

We started the day browsing the ever-popular furniture and homewares store, Nell Hills. They have a wide range of options from traditional to modern, but the best part of all is their fabric selection. Every color, texture and pattern you could possibly desire is available for the picking.

Next up we headed over to Design in the City for a little retail therapy. Silver is shining bright this fall/winter season and their Simon Sebbag jewelry pieces are right on trend (they have such a fresh modern feel). I picked up a pair of the lightweight geometric beauties that I can't seem to stop wearing.  They also carry Gorjana, for those of you looking to add a few timeless gold pieces to your jewelry box or the perfect anniversary gift.

Next up was a quick appetizer and adult beverage at Piropos. Anytime I see the word ceviche on a menu, I couldn't be happier. Piropos has always had a special place in my heart (and stomach) since they moved from Parkville to Briarcliff a few years back.

After our light snack, we were ready to relax at the Spa at Briarcliff. My mom and I both had facials and spent time in the European bath room. Which I highly recommend allotting a little extra time to submerge yourself in their healing turquoise waters.

Looking and feeling years younger, we patted ourselves dry and headed to a meal fit for kings at Trezo Mare. As someone who rarely eats gluten, I was pleasantly surprised to find an Italian restaurant who was so GF friendly. Calling all celiacs, health food junkies and the just plain hungry.... this is the restaurant for you! Dine al fresco under the yellow umbrellas during warmer weather, or cozy up next to the fire pit as temperatures drop. Their wine list is quite impressive, as is their farm fresh produce and seafood dishes. We left Briarcliff Village with our stomachs full and faces fresh... sure to return soon.
