Forks & Corks: A Foodie's Guide to Harvester's Annual Fundraiser

It’s the most delicious time of the year– Harvester’s Forks & Corks is quickly approaching, and we’ve got the guide to all the yummy eats and cold drinks!

Now in its 23rd year, Forks & Corks is the fundraiser that foodies don’t want to miss: the wine and food tasting event takes place at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, April 4. Besides indulging in delicious bites and sipping wine to your heart’s content, you can also enjoy live performances, an illusion booth, a raffle, and even a wine pull, where you can try your luck at winning a top notch bottle of wine. And if all of that isn’t enough to make your culinary dreams come true, you can even line up to meet KC’s famous Chef Lidia Bastianich, who will be signing cookbooks at the event.

Best of all, 100% of ticket proceeds help Harvesters feed hungry families and seniors in our community– a cause we can all get behind. Without further ado, our tried and true favorites at Corks & Forks:

Amigoni winery is one of the best in the midwest for deliciously dry wines. If you haven’t tried them already in a flight at Made in KC’s bar or their tasting room in the Stockyards, then you’re in for a real treat. Or if you’re like us, they’re already a favorite– and you’ll be swirling their wines all night long!

Boulevard Brewing Company

Boulevard Brewing is of course a known staple in this city– but seeing them at local fundraisers like Forks & Corks earns them an even dearer spot in our hearts. It’s a great chance to try out a few brews that may not necessarily be your go-to’s (although we’re not judging if you stick with the tried and true Boulevard Wheat!)

Fizzolino Prosecco Truck

Brand new on the truck scene in KC is darling Fizzolino– a prosecco truck straight off the streets of Italy. They’ll be making their public debut at Forks & Corks, and if you ask us, getting a peak at this darling truck reason enough to attend!

Green Dirt Farm

Mission Taco has mastered the art of the taco: while their classic options like carne asada and grilled chicken are undeniably delicious, crazy inventions like the habañero fried chicken taco really leave our mouths watering. Definitely check them out, and make sure you have a cold beer on standby.

Succotash

Succotash is basically the unofficial brunch feast capital of Kansas City, so there’s no way we’re missing this stop. From their pancakes to their sandwiches to their infamous rainbow cake, their flavors are fresh and full of joy!

Of course, we trust our hungry readers will be able to make the rounds to all of the participants, so if you’re up to the challenge, check out the rest of the list here. As an added bonus to our Made in KC Explore family, you can get $25 off your ticket purchase with the promo code FLASH19. We’ll see you there– happy eating!
