Exploring Lenexa’s Made in KC Marketplace
The newest addition to Lenexa City Center offers a unique MIKC experience and fun for everyone.

Lenexa’s City Center has been attracting crowds from all over the Kansas City metro for its eclectic mix of restaurants, entertainment venues, art exhibitions and business districts. At the heart of this bustling development is the brand new Made in KC Marketplace and if you haven’t been, it’s well worth the visit!
Like most of City Center, the new Lenexa Marketplace has an open, modern aesthetic. It encompasses lots of natural light, plenty of space and more than enough showroom floor to highlight some of Kansas City’s best and brightest makers. You’ll recognize many of the brands and designs but, in true Made in KC fashion, every Second Saturday welcomes in new makers and their wares. These pop-ups showcase up-and-comers and some established names, all geared to bolstering our community and highlighting Kansas City’s own.
What makes the Lenexa location so fun is that it’s both a family-friendly space and a great spot to gather some friends for a fun afternoon. The bar is chock-full of local spirits, caffeinated pick-me-ups, easy bites, fun cocktails and ice cream. Yes, ice cream. This space is perfectly partitioned away from the store, so you feel comfortable and not in the way of someone’s shopping spree.
Hands down, the best part of the new location is the full-sized shuffleboard floor. You can reserve your shuffling time online, by phone or you can come in and wait your turn. Don’t worry — full rules are displayed if you need a refresher. The energy and music in the space are great and LED TVs are all around, perfect for watching the game or your favorite team.
The Lenexa Marketplace is across the street from the Public Market — so there are always fun activities going on in this bustling new area of town. With warm weather right around the corner and a renewed excitement for being out and about this summer, you need to add this new Made in KC location to your list.
