Honored nationwide as one of the best, OP Farmer’s Market just keeps getting bigger and better!

The Overland Park Farmers Market was rated #1 in the nation in 2022, and its consistent success and positive impact on the area’s economy has earned this event a special kind of respect.
Every weekend between mid-April and October, you can pop over to this expansive, engaging community setup, which is temporarily in the parking lot of the Matt Ross Community Center due to an upgrade project at their permanent space. From 7:30am to 1pm, learn about local offerings from produce to coffee, small batch foods to florals and plants.
While I am from the northland, I venture out to this market several times a year to enjoy the flavors, scents, and sights of some of my favorite vendors. I tend to go as early as possible, around open, to avoid crowds. Since I stepped out during a holiday weekend, it was still crazy busy despite the rainy weather. I still had so much fun, and ended up with some great steals. Here, a small sample of what you can find on your own cutesy adventure to the market:
Bauman’s Mobile Meat Market
A fixture at the Overland Park Farmers Market is the meat market in a trailer that greets you at the entrance, no matter where they are located. As you come up the hill next to the community center, this wonder is on your right.
Consider heading there early - and maybe bringing a cooler - if you want a true pick of their various meat and egg options.
Birds Botanicals
On the back end of the meat market truck sits Birds Botanicals, one of the most luscious, attractive setups at the market. Birds Botanicals has been serving the metro with wild, gorgeous greenery for years, and their table serves as a friendly “hello” and a bright “goodbye” as you enter and leave the farmer’s market grounds.
Pop over to learn about orchids and purchase a new indoor plant friend!
Noble Skin Co.
Skincare and wellness tents are few and far between, but one that we have all come to know and love is the Noble Skin Co. Their non-toxic skincare solutions are luxurious, many items made of whipped organic ingredients to bring an elevated - and truly clean - way to indulge.
Hang out and chat about their face serums and learn about the benefits of whipped tallow.
Yoli Tortilleria
As it is set up now, if you turn to the left just past the entrance, you will find Yoli Tortilleria’s tent. Their James Beard Award winning tortillas are up for grabs - corn and flour options - alongside three tasty varieties of totopos or tortilla chips. Enjoy tamales, aguas frescas, burritos, and pastries as they are available and before they sell out!
Pearl Family Farm
Since 1890, this indigenous, family-owned farm has been serving Parkville and the surrounding community delicious, better-for-you, locally-grown options. While Pearl Family Farm used to specialize in oat, corn, wheat, alfalfa, and other grains, the fourth generation has perfected seasonal items throughout the year, like kales, basil, bok choy, peppers, beets, tomatoes, and more.
Stop by to add color and nutrition to your diet, and get recipe inspiration from the team. Learn more about the farm at a display between moving sidewalks at MCI.
Bacon Zest
Love bacon, but need a perfect seasoning blend to really take it over the top? Stop by the fire engine red Bacon Zest tent to learn about a line of low-sodium, zero calorie flavorings to keep your meats perfectly seasoned.
Their staple barbecue flavor is so delicious. If you have a sweet tooth, honey barbecue will be particularly attractive to you, as will the sweet barbecue.
Mo Pie
Have you ever wanted a layered, delicious homemade pie but lacked the patience or skill to make it happen? Reserve your curiosities for Saturdays and pop over to the Mo Pie tent, where dozens of tasty pies await. Their Mother’s Day menu featured flavors like Chocolate Strawberry Silk and Lydia’s Lemon Blueberry, but you’ll find apple pies aplenty in the fall.
Depending on the weekend, you can grab cobblers, cinnamon rolls, and sourdough options as well.
Neon Palm
When the weather warms up, Neon Palm is the place to be. This cutesy trailer sells real fruit Italian ice in a variety of vegan flavors. Lemon, watermelon, and blackberry lemon mint are three fast favs.
Trot to the corner to enjoy a delicious treat with family and friends, or grab a pint to take home.
Bramble & Rose Tea Co.
You may not find a tent full of women more knowledgeable of their product than at Bramble & Rose Tea Co’s setup at the Overland Park Farmers Market. As you crest the hill at the front of the community center, you will see the white top of stall 78, filled to the brim with loose leaf teas.
Enjoy a morning cuppa or take home a package of high-quality herbs to brew at home.
Luca Bagel
Luca Bagel makes some delicious, hand rolled bagels. But if you are interested in trying them, ordering online for pickup is almost not even a viable option anymore. It wasn’t even 8am when I happened upon their long line and SOLD OUT standee. So, if you want your fix, you’ll want to order in advance or plan for a (somehow) less popular weekend.
Mythos Sauce Company
Do you like hot sauce? How about mythology? Get your hands on sauces named after your favorite deities, like “Thor,” “Athena,” “Anansi,” and “Q’uq’umatz.” The creativity that goes into naming each flavor is so expansive and fun, this tent will probably inspire you a bit. Plus, it will add mega flavor to your favorite foods.
Take the Mythos online sauce quiz to give yourself a fighting chance at their tent.
Happy Hollow Farms
As it is set up right now, Happy Hollow Farms has gorgeous bundles of florals and make-your-own-bouquet options really close to the community center entrance. This makes it great to access at most any point during your lap around the market, and serves as a beautiful focal point with all of its vibrant options. This was an especially welcome view on such a gloomy day.
