To get to know Meredith a little better, we asked her a few questions.
What's your favorite thing about Kansas Citians?
(I don't know about best, but...) The funniest thing about Kansas Citians is that we wear Kansas City merchandise like we just got back from vacation in our own city. No one is as self-branded as Kansas Citians. (I see you, Raygun, Charlie Hustle, et. al.!)
Where would you most love to live in our city?
Having lived north of the river and in midtown, I think Brookside would be an ideal neighborhood to find a quirky, historic spot with a small yard to do some artsy landscape design with. The entire area feels like a magical forest, with pockets of cute shops breaking up the cute houses.
Where is your favorite place to shop in KC?
I love to shop at effing candle co. on Main Street in Midtown! The scents are clean and beautiful, and the candles crackle for a calming ambiance. The owner runs fun specials and considers your furry friends in what she provides!
Where would you tell a visiting friend or relative to go in KC?
Anyone visiting KC should absolutely get a look at the Nelson Atkins and Union Station. If they have time to see the spaceship that is Kemper Arena, it's a great spot for sports historians! We're pretty lucky architecturally.
