To get to know Alyssa a little better, we asked her a few questions.
What's your favorite coffee shop (and drink)?
Oh man, this is like asking to choose a favorite friend! I love that Kansas City has so many amazing coffee choices. Currently, I would say Second Best Coffee because I’m not able to go as often as I’d like, so when I get to it’s a treat! I love their seasonal menu, but my tried & true is an Americano or Cortado.
If you could live in any Kansas City neighborhood, which one would you choose?
Westside! I love the mixture of older houses with newer modern builds; plus there’s so much heavy greenery everywhere that is really beautiful. (Also, living that close to Goat Hill Coffee + Westside Local would be a dream).
Where's your favorite weekend getaway?
I would have to say Fayetteville Arkansas + surrounding areas. It’s only a few hours outside of KC, but feels like you’ve completely stepped into a different world. You can head to their downtown area and check out places like Puritan Coffee & Beer and head next door to Fayettechill for some new outdoor gear, then jump in the car to head to Devil’s Den State Park to get off the grid + hike. Combines so many different things, and makes for an awesome weekend getaway!
