To get to know Weston a little better, we asked him a few questions.
What's your favorite coffee shop (and drink)?
No question, my favorite coffee shop is Messenger, closely followed by Black Dog Coffeehouse. The people, the atmosphere, the drinks - i've got a soft spot in my heart for both. Favorite drink is a mocha, either hot or iced, depending on the season.
If you could live in any Kansas City neighborhood, which one would you choose?
I currently live in the Crossroads and love the energy of being in the heart of the city. If I had to pick another Kansas City neighborhood, it'd have to be Brookside. It's quaint and I love the shops and the farmer's market - it seems like a great neighborhood to be in.
Where's your favorite weekend getaway?
I always love making my way back to Lawrence. Having spent some of the best years of my life there (Rock Chalk!), it's always fun to revisit familiar places or check out what new experiences the city has to offer.
You have a Sunday to yourself. How do you spend it?
I love exploring the city, so trying new places and roaming around new areas. Ideally, I'd hop on a Bird and make my way to Messenger or Banksia for coffee/breakfast, then find a new business I've never been to or a new building I've never photographed. Then, I'd probably jump on the streetcar and head north to the River Market or take a quick drive to the West Bottoms. The best part about Kansas City is there's so much to see and explore, each weekend can be a completely unique experience.
